⚠ IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The Pope's visit to Monaco on Saturday 28 March will affect access to the Grimaldi Forum.
Following the recent official announcement of the visit of the Pope to Monaco on Saturday 28 March, significant traffic restrictions and large crowds are expected throughout the Principality. While the congress will proceed normally, some logistical adjustments will be necessary on that day.
- Participants staying outside Monaco should plan to arrive at the Grimaldi Forum significantly earlier than usual.
- Roads around Fontvieille will be closed from 07:00, but bus and shuttles service will be organized.
- Participants travelling to Nice Airport on Saturday should plan to leave Monaco before 16:00–16:30.

Access and traffic arrangements – Monaco
1. Access to Monaco
Entry to Monaco is mandatory via the EAST access points only:
Via the A8 motorway – Exit Monaco-East n°58 (Beausoleil), then RM 6007 (Saint Roman interchange)
Or via the Basse Corniche, followed by the Dorsale road
2. Traffic within Monaco
Traffic circulation within Monaco is generally maintained.
No restrictions on East–West traffic (both directions open between Grimaldi Forum and Fontvieille) via the Dorsale and Route de la Piscine
The Dorsale road will be closed from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM due to the passage of the Popemobile and prayer time at Sainte Dévote
3. Shuttle & public transport
Congress shuttle services will operate as scheduled
CAM public buses will operate with some adjustments, particularly regarding stops:
Columbus area: no restrictions
Marriott area: regulated access with alternating traffic during the passage of the Sovereign Pontiff
4. Departure from Monaco
Departure of congress participants should be anticipated
It is strongly recommended to leave Monaco before 4:30 PM, preferably during the Mass
Recommended route:
Grimaldi Forum → Saint-Roman / Roquebrune → Motorway
The “Grimaldi Forum” bus stop is served every 30 minutes toward the Airport (subject to traffic conditions)
5. General recommendations
- Train travel is strongly recommended (normal service with increased frequency, but high passenger volume expected)
Participants are advised to bring their luggage from Saturday morning
A green access sticker is mandatory for all vehicles (cars, VTCs, vans, coaches, trucks, etc.) accessing the Grimaldi Forum
